End Domestic Violence

What does domestic violence look like? It can have many characteristics, both physical and mental. It is intimidation, isolation, control, as well as physical, sexual and emotional abuse. Domestic violence is something that affects all communities, regardless of gender, race, religion, socio-economics, etc. Statistically, on average 20 people are abused by a partner every minute, and millions of children are exposed to this violence.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) is an attempt to bring light to this ugly epidemic, and connect those in need with people who can advocate for them.

You can show you support for this worthy cause by wearing purple on #PurpleThursday, October 19th.
